Steven Dominguez, MD, MPH, FICS, FACEP

The Bella Milagros®products have each been developed by, and used in clinical practice under the direction of Dr. Steven Dominguez, MD, MPH, FICS, FACEP founder of the Bella Milagros® Institute, a complete and interactive Aesthetic and Rejuvenation Plastic Surgery Association of caring and dedicated aesthetic physicians throughout Southern California.

Dr. Dominguez believes in God's miracles and beauty of mankind. That's why his practice principles and products are called Bella Milagros, "Beautiful Miracles." 

Dr. Steven Dominguez began his career in Head and Neck Surgery in 1984 at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. His residency training programs include Otolaryngology-Facial Plastic Surgery at the esteemed Cleveland Clinic, and Emergency Medicine at UCLA.  Dr. Dominguez was the course instructor for the advanced cosmetic reconstruction workshops for emergency medicine and trauma surgeons at UCLA.  While at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr Dominguez was quickly regarded as the "resident" expert in Nutrition and conducted specialized Nutrition research and lectures in TPN and Tube Feeding for both Cancer and Trauma Pre and Post Surgery patients.

Dr. Dominguez has conducted private, corporate, institutional, and NIH funded research in mesenchymal cells and growth factors, intermediate filaments, tropocollagen, nanoparticles, keloid, wound healing and collagen remodeling, skin grafting, free flaps, super-glue, lasers for both ablation and collagen stimulation, cosmeceutical biochemistry, and clinical nutrition and metabolism for both accelerated wound healing and optimal lean muscle mass and weight management (Metabolic Syndrome). 

Dr. Dominguez is at the forefront of aesthetic medicine having obtained U.S. Patent #6726706 on "Suture Tape and Method for Use", a wound closure and healing device; and on the advanced non-surgical cosmetic surgery processes "System and Method for the Removal of Wrinkles from Human Skin."

Dr. Dominguez has over 30 years in both surgical and non-surgical plastic - reconstructive wound care, lasers, and aesthetic procedures including the use of Human Tissue Allografts, Adipose (fat) harvest and grafting, Collagen Restoration Technology, Stem Cells and Growth Factor Technology, Ablative Lasers, Thermage, Nutrition and Weight Management, Botox and Facial fillers.

Dr. Dominguez was honored in 2003 by the Who's Who of Professionals."

In 1997 based on his chapter on MaxilloFacial Trauma, emergency facial trauma patient care, and multiple lectures given to Emergency Physicians and trauma surgeons throughout the USA, Dr. Dominguez was recognized and distinquished as a Fellow by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the International College of Surgeons.

Dr. Dominguez conducts didactic lectures and hands-on teaching seminars to physicians on advanced cosmetic and facial plastic surgery procedures.  Dr. Dominguez has lectured at: UCLA, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Northwestern, U of Kentucky, U of Illinois, U of Chicago, U of Iowa, U of Florida, Whittier Law, and was a Board Certification course instructor for the Illinois Emergency Medicine Written and Oral Board Review courses.

Dr. Dominguez conducts seminars on Tropocollagen, Stem Cells and Growth Factors, Metabolic Syndrome, Skin Cancer, Nutrition and Weight Management to medical staffs, community organizations, police and fire organizations,and health and fitness enthusiasts throughout California, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Texas, and Florida. 

Dr Dominguez has lectured throughout the USA and Europe on Collagen Restoration Technology, Stem Cells and Growth Factor Technology, Facial Trauma, Aesthetic Facial Rejuvenation, LipoSculpture, Fat Grafting for Facial Rejuvenation, and Anti-Aging Metabolism.

Dr. Dominguez is the Workers Compensation Primary Treating Physician, Sworn Officers - Police and Fire, for the cities of: LA, Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Baldwin Park, Buena Park, Anaheim, South Gate, OC Sheriff, Long Beach, INS, CHP, and Homeland Security.  In 2009, Dr Dominguez provided Nutrition and Physical Training and Miracle Protein to the South Gate B2V Team, and the Team beat their best time by 2 hours and 19 minutes and were "mugged" for the first time in 13 years!  This was so remarkable, the City Council presented the Team and Dr Dominguez with a Recognition Award and Plaque.  From 1996 to 2012, Dr Dominguez provided Tactical Medicine - WMD - UW - CI services to federal, state, and local LE.

Despite a busy professional schedule, Dr. Dominguez volunteers as both a physician and non-physician at downtown Los Angeles food kitchens, homeless shelters, inner-city child / youth programs, and international disaster relief efforts.  Bella Milagros® Miracle Protein® is also donated in bulk to homeless, and battered women and childrens 501C organizations. Dr. Dominguez also serves as an active physician or lay member of various local and international charitable organizations affiliated with Rotary International and the Catholic church through the Holy See.  The Bella Milagros® International Childrens Anti-Obesity Foundation is currently in development.
